That’s what’s going to happen, mom & pop will sell, developer will buy, evict tenants and build high with new SB79, and not “affordable” but regular market value rent. It’s almost like this was done on purpose for developers. I do hope it’s getting more difficult for developers, though. Tearing up our neighborhoods to build these 5-8 story-high buildings is the last thing we want.
