If you’ve been here for a while, you might possibly remember that two years ago I submitted a CPRA request regarding a planned project in Westlake that displaced 36 households.
Thank you for following up on this. Please continue to ask CD1 for this supposed list of illegal Airbnbs in RSO units in Eunisses Hernandez' district, and you can also try sending a public records request to the City IT Department, which can pull emails sent by and to city email addresses. The email to use for that is itacpracoordinator@lacity.org
The IT department acknowledged my request right away, but unfortunately they couldn’t get the list. I’m guessing it hasn’t been emailed, even within the CD1 offices. Which makes me wonder if the list even exists.
Glad they got back to you, and you have a new arrow in your public records request quiver.
How would Eunisses Hernandez learn about illegal Airbnbs? From citizen complaints. Maybe the request should be for any email TO the office or message sent through the contact link that mentions Airbnb over the past year?
Wow, either the councilmember completely made this up or her office is hiding the list of illegal Airbnbs. Did you ask for citizen complaints? Maybe extend it over the full length of her first term in office?
I did try that. I was initially told to narrow the parameters due to there being thousands of potential records. And yet…all I get is two press inquiries (that I’m not sure were answered)? Weird. I’m also skeptical about an actual list.

Got a response to my second inquiry and unfortunately it was just media requests. I’ve put in a new request trying something different. 🤞
